Resource summary

DNA
  1. The nucleus contains DNA
    1. DNA is found in the nucleus of every cell
      1. It is a double-stranded helix
        1. Each of the two strands is made up of lots of small groups called nucleotides
          1. each nucleotide contains a small molecule called a base
            1. DNA has just four different bases
              1. A-T and C-G
      2. DNA can replicate it self
        1. Double helix first unzips
          1. As the DNA unwinds itself , new nucleotides join on only where the bases fit
            1. This makes an exact copy of DNA on the other strand
              1. The result is two molecules of DNA identical to the original molecule of DNA
