- Diversity has become so widespread that there are five different types of
family diversity that exist in Britain today. The diversity of families represents a
culture which is focussed on widespread acceptance of different views and
cultures. Not deviant, rather a response to different people's needs or
wishes.
- Eg. Cultural diversity means that different religions and ethnic groups
have different family structures. For example, Afro-Caribbean
households tend to be matriarchal.
