Structure underlies function Homeostasis

Page 2

Structure Underlies Function

It is important to note that the design of the structures of the anatomy and physiology of the body are designed with purpose and not by accident. The structures are designed in such a way as to maximise the efficiency of the function the structure is designed to do.

Homeostasis

Homeostasis is the maintenance of a relatively stable internal environment, despite external changes.

A short note on cells

All cells in the body need to be connected with dedicated organ systems. They also need a regulated enviroment(homeostasis)They also need protection from pathogens etc via immunity.

The Cardiovascular System

Composed of 3 parts: Blood Arteries/Veins/Capillaries The Heart
