Intelligence- Isabel Castillo

1. Emotional Intelligence

   • being able to know your emotions and to acknowledge help other people and their emotions (Grison & Gazzaniga, 2022).

2. General Intelligence

   • the problem solving involve in critical thinking for a task (Grison & Gazzaniga, 2022).

3. Fluid and crystalized intelligence

   • Made up of fluid intelligence which help us understand new information to use when retaining information swiftly and speedily, it is also made up of crystalized intelligence which help us solve problems from past experiences (Grison & Gazzaniga, 2022).
   • Fluid Intelligence
     • Fluid intelligence is being able to react and explain to fast situations (Ungvarsky, 2021).
       • a person who will be able to think on the spot (Ungvarsky, 2021).
         • I notice that I love doing puzzles like the memory card game, where you have to find the matching of the card
           • I also use the information that I learn to help me solve and understand a problem better.
   • Crystalized Intelligence
     • Crystalized intelligence is made up from memories from past experiences (Ungvarsky, 2021).
       • people high in this intelligence uses what they learned to try and solve new problems (Ungvarsky, 2021).
         • I score high in this intelligence because in math when I seen a different problem, I try to use what I have learn to try and solve it.
           • Another example is when I try to learn a new language, I try to speak and use that language to help me memorize the words

4. Triarchic Intelligence

   • Comprimised of three structures which are analytic, practical, and creative (Grison & Gazzaniga, 2022).
   • Analytic Intelligence
     • more like problem solving and critical thinking (Grison & Gazzaniga, 2022).
       • people who exceed in this intelligence are more likely to think deeper in a problem and to compare two obstacles (Spielman, Jenkins, & Lovett, 2020).
         • I observe that I do score well with this intelligence because I like to play a games like "wordle" where you have to find and evaluate different words in order to get the right word.
           • another time where I notice is when I am doing a math problem and have to do a step by step process to get the right answer.
   • Creative intelligence
     • is implies when a person has new and contrasting ideas to work out different problems (Grison & Gazzaniga, 2022).
       • A person will in this intelligence will find different ways to solve a problem or creating something unique that would have not been thought of before (Spielman, Jenkins, & Lovett, 2020).
         • I do not score well in this because I like to be taught and follow the way that I have been taught instead of thinking of different ways to solve a problem
           • I also notice that I do not really think outside the box to make something different, I usually follow the outline of something
   • Pratical intelligence
     • is basic knowledge that you use in your daily lives (Grison & Gazzaniga, 2022).
       • a person will use what they learned from their experience to help them in their daily commute (Spielman, Jenkins, & Lovett, 2020).
         • I believe that I score in the middle of practical intelligence because I can learn on how to find my classes on the first day of school then without any maps or direction to tell me where to go after the second day
           • Another reason is that I like to do hands on activities that will help me remember things better

5. Multiple Intelligence

   • different types of intelligence that can stand on its own which are musical, linguistic, spatial, mathematical/ logical, intrapersonal, interpersonal, and bodily- kinesthetic (Grison & Gazzaniga, 2022).
