1. echoic memory

   • the sensory memory that registers specific to auditory information

2. iconic memory

   • the visual sensory memory register pertaining to the visual domain and a fast-decaying store of visual information
     • Sperling Task
       • When shown sets of many letters or digits very briefly, people can report only a handful afterward. However, even though participants cannot report all of the letters or digits that they saw, they claim that they could briefly remember all the items, but then the memory faded too quickly to report them.
