1. Nucleas

   • Contains all the genetic information of the cell
   • Has a nuclear envelope (double lipid bilyer) which contains nuclear pores allowing certain substances to pass
   • Site of DNA and RNA sythesis

2. Nucleolus

   • Makes ribosomal subunits from rRNA and proteins
   • Makes Ribosomes

3. Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum

   • Involved in the providing a surface for ribosomes to attach and produce proteins, then the transport of proteins produced
   • Continuous with the nuclear envelope

4. Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum

   • Involved in the sythesis and transport of lipids
   • Stores Ca ions

5. Golgi Apparatus

   • Made up of flattened sacs called cisternae
   • Further processes proteins and lipids from ER
   • Two sides - cis golgi (entrance), Trans golgi (exit)

6. Lysosomes

   • Small vesicle containing digestive enzymes
   • Used to break down pathogen

7. Mitochondria

   • Double Membrane
   • Involved in ATP sythesis
