High level language: more complex languages that more closely resemble English
Low level language: language computer specific (binary)
Turtle programming: classic method for learning programming with commands
Function: named group of programming instructions
Abstractions: simplified representation of something more complex
Top-down design: problem solving approach where you break down a system to gain insight
API: collection of commands made to programmers
Documentation: description of the behavior of a command
Library: collection of commands and functions
Parameter: extra piece of info that you pass to the function to customize it for a specific need
Loop: programming construct that repeats a group of commands
For loop: Particular kind of looping construct provided in many languages
