1. Theory doesn't help understand what to when two duties conflict

2. System only works if everyone has the same view on the end purpose

3. Does not take compassion and peoples emotions into account

4. Many people believe you should think about the consequences

5. Assumes our duty has an intention and it's not always pure

   • Not the same as actually doing one

6. Not easily applied to moral situations and abstract

   • Tells you what actions are good but does not tell you the right thing to do in a particular situation
