1. Critical thinking

   • Strengths
     • My strength is that I can provide deep analysis to a topic. I believe i showed this through our class debate where I provided good thoughtful answers to prove my points
   • Weaknessess
     • Steps to improve
       • To improve I can revise my work multiple times to make sure my writing is clear and concise
     • My weakness is communicating those points. During my explanations I can understand what message I am trying to convey although others might get confused to understand what I am saying. This was demonstrated through my S.O.P where I had some awkward sentences that I understood yet others could not

2. writing

   • Strengths
     • In writing I am more accustomed to and better at tests. This is shown through my short story unit where I was able to find the definite answers of the questions. I am better at this since I am used to finding one answer that is not as arguable
   • Weaknessess
     • I believe that my weakest point in writing is when i write my thesis. this is portrayed through my essay where my thesis was inadequate. I struggle to connect all of my points to a theme
     • Steps to improve
       • To improve i think that I should get a deeper understanding of the theme in a story. This way I can further understand how to connect my points to the story's theme

3. Collaboration

   • Strengths
     • I believe that excell in leadership rolls during group projects. I showed this during my groups indigenous research presentation when my group got off task and I was usually the one putting everyone back on focus
   • Weaknessess
     • Steps to improve
       • To improve I believe that I should listen to what they have to say more thoroughly so that I can get a better understanding of what they are trying to convey
     • My weakness in group work is my ability to incorporate everyone's ideas. Again referring to the indigenous research project I was not able to bring in everyone's ideas. For example when somebody suggested something I could not relate all of the ideas together

4. Presentation Skills

   • Strengths
     • I believe a strength during my presentations is my organization. Throughout my presentation all my thoughts are organized and the slides that are related go together while different topics are seperate. I showed my skill of organization during my six word story presentation. I gave all of topics that wre related before moving on to new ideas
   • Weaknessess
     • I believe that my biggest weakness was my confidence and my stutter. This was due to a lack of practise before presenting. I noticed this a lot during the first group presentation where i had to constantly repeat my sentences. I knew what I needed to say but when I was infront of the class I just lost all of my confidence.
     • steps to improve
       • To improve I believe i should just spend more time rehearsing my presentation so i dont become nervous when i am in front of the class. However, when I am in class and have a time limit I can try to finish faster and leave extra time to just memorize my lines

5. Connections

   • Strenghts
     • I believe that I can make powerful text to self connections through my writing. I depicted this through my reflection on Indian Horse when I related Saul playing hockey to forget about his grandmother's death and how i played soccer to cope with my own grandmothers death.
   • Weaknessess
     • My weakness is how I can not make relevant connections to the world or other texts. I showed this through a group discussion once when I was asked to relate the residential schools to present day events.
     • Steps to improve
       • To improve I can become more knowledgeable about what is going on in the world. This way I can find better examples that I can connect to other novels I read in the future

6. Reading

   • Weaknessess
     • Steps to imrpve
       • To improve I think I can read with more though so that I can hopefully pick up on more themes that occur throughout the readings I read.
     • My weakness is my inability to pick up on a theme. The themes I apply to the novel when I am reading are usually not the main ones. I showed this through my essays from last year. I always had theme topics that were not as important.
   • Strengths
     • A strength that I have while reading is the ability to understand concepts and what impact the events in the story had. I portrayed this when through my Short story unit test where I was able to easily understand what the author was trying to convey
