1. Natural landscapes in the tropical zones

   • From most to least precipitation: the equatorial jungle, the tropical forest, the savannah and the desert can be found here.

2. Natural landscapes in the temperature zones

   • Moving from lower to higher latitudes: meadows and steppes, the Mediterranean scrub and forest, the deciduous forests and the taiga or conifer forests are in this zone.

3. Natural landscapes in polar zones

   • The tundra and the permafrost areas are found in the polar circle. Mountain landscapes are also included here.
