     • Software meant to operate the system's hardware and provide a platform for using applications software

   • Peripheral device that gives instructions or transmits data to the computer

4. Output Device

   • Feeds back data to the user, displaying the results of commands or providing interface

5. Storage Device

   • Internal or external device that stores data on it
