AGREEMENT
- UN sponsored peace talks. USSR, Pakistan, Afghanistan & USA reached an agreement. In 1988 troops were removed from Afghanistan.
OPPOSITION
- The USA led an international condemnation of the invasion
ACHIEVEMENT
- In 1992 a hard-line Islamic fundamentalist government took over. The Taliban. So, did USR actually achieve anything by their invasion?
