Digestive enzyme
An enzyme is an organic catalyst, protienous in nature , which speeds up chemical changes in living cells but are not themselves used up in the process. enzymes accelerate metabolic reactions without changing their process.
Types of enzymes:
1.Intracellular
2. Extracellular
Intracellular: These enzymes function inside the cells of living organism. e.g.cell respiration
Extracellular:These are the enzymes which carry out their function outside the cells. e.g. digestive enzymes.
Classes of enzymes
Hydrolyses: Catalyse the hydrolyse cleavage or breaking up of canon-nitrogen or carbon bonds
Oxido reductase: Catalyses the joining together of two molecules with accompanying of a higher energy bond
