1-simple reflexes, grabbing etc
2-primary circular reactions, perform action notice affect
3-2nd circular reactions, as above but reproduce and more aware
4-coordination of 2nd reactions,
5-3rd circular reactions, experimentation
6-beginning of representational thought, pretend play, language, imitation - 4Development of object permanence may explain separation anxietystudying early congition
Preference, fantz chamber- 2 stim are presented, if they look at one then they can discriminate between 2, they prefer circles and faces. - 5Habituation- prefer to look a novel stim, after a while they habituate and cease, if something new is presented they can discriminate and will start to look again. Surprises elicit longer gazes.
