   • SHORT-TERM MEMORY
     • ENCODING: Acoustically (as sounds) CONRAD
     • DURATION: Can retain info temporarily, a few seconds to half a minute.
     • CAPACITY: The 'magic number 7' plus or minus 2. Can be improved by 'chunking'
   • LONG-TERM MEMORY
     • ENCODING: Semantically (by meaning) BADDELEY
     • DURATION: Anything up to a lifetime
     • CAPACITY: Unlimited
