D.O.I was to seperate from Gtreat Britiain becuase of the harsh treatment towards the 13 colonies
- D.O.S was to state that woman didn't want to be mistreated anymore and wanted to be equal as men
- D.O.I and D.O.S had a big impact in society and are very similar. WIthout them we wouldn't have this country as today and woman would still be treated as a belonging to their husbands
