1. 4 main components

   • Central executive
   • Phonological loop
   • Episodic buffer
   • Visuo-Spatial sketchpad

2. Strengths

   • KF stm was damaged and had difficulties forgetting auditory information more than visual information.
   • Information doesn't have to verbally rehearsed to enter the LTM.
   • Park et al
     • Meta-analysis found that dysfunction of the working memory was the key difference between normals and individuals with schizophrenia.
       • Can be used in diagnosis and treatment.

3. Weaknesses

   • Central executive is too vague.
   • Lab experiments.
   • Key evidence comes from case studies.
   • Research on EVR found he could perform reasoning tasks well but had poor decision making skills, must be more than one central executive.
