Question Answer
Q) Give an example of a Eukaryotic Cell: A) Any Animal/Plant Cell
Q) What type of cell is a bacteria cell? A) Prokaryotic
Q) What is the nucleus? A) 'Brain' of the cell, contains genetic material that controls most of the activities of the cell.
Q) What is the Cytoplasm? A) A gel-like substance where most of the chemical reactions within the cell take place. (contains enzymes that control these reactions)
Q) What is the Cell Membrane? A) A membrane surrounding the cell that holds it together an controls what substances go in and out.
Q) What are the mitochondria? A) Organelles, where most of the reactions for aerobic respiration take place. (powerhouse of the cell)
Q) What are the Ribosomes? A) Molecular machines, where protein is made in the cell.
Q) What are the three subcellular structures that Plant Cells have that Animal Cells do not? A) Cell Wall (supports and strengthens the cell), Chloroplasts (where photosynthesis occurs, contains chlorophyll), and Vacuole (contains cell sap, a weak solution of sugar and salts)
