Democracy... - Uses Principle 'majority rule', where candidates from two different parties compete for voter approval. These are determined through free and fair elections. - People still have rights as a citizen in this form of government. - Began in Greece 2,500 years ago in the Greek city of Athens.
In a Democracy, there are two types which are... Representative Democracy and Direct Democracy.
Direct Democracy is... -Where all voters meet to discuss and vote on issues in person. -This type of democracy was mainly used for small populations, and due to the US's gigantic population, it is not used today.

Monarchy... -This is a government with a hereditary ruler. Socialism... -A system of government in which the government owns all the businesses and industries that produce products. The government decides how resources are used and how much workers are paid. It provides its people with health care, education, etc. Elections are still done and citizens still have certain rights. *Government owns and makes decisions on certain businesses and industries.
