- 1What is Active transport?The Movement of molecules against the concentration gradient, from a region of low concentration to high, with the use of ATP (energy)
- 2What is a carrier protein?An intrinsic protein spread across the plasma membrane which transports molecules.
- 3—A molecule enters the carrier protein, ATP binds to one end allowing the protein channel to open, the ATP break off in ADP and P, this causing the channel to close.
