Temperatures in the food room including use of the probe. Coronary heart disease and other dietary diseases. Eggs ( covered in class the other day). Heat transference ( covered in year 9, remember conduction, convection and radiation). Dietary needs for different groups of people. E.g. Teens, babies etc. Macronutrients and micronutrients. Research different herbs and spices used to flavour food.

dietary needs for teenagers carbs are needed for energy. proteins are needed for growth and repair and for making hormones. they also need calcium, iron, zinc, and vitamin D.
dietary needs for babies Protein-build cells, break down food into energy, fight infection, and carry oxygen. Calcium-builds a child's healthy bones and teeth. It's also important for blood clotting and for nerve, muscle, and heart function.They help a child's body to use fat and protein for building and repairing tissue. Carbohydrates-eating more of the starches and fibers and less of the sugar.Fats -energy for kids and are easily stored in a child's body. They are also important in helping the body to properly use some of the other nutrients it needs. Iron-builds healthy blood that carries oxygen to cells all over the body. Folate-healthy growth and development of a child's cells. Lack of this vitamin can cause anemia.
