1. bubble sort

   • simple
   • not very fast
   • looks at data one by one
   • does a final check to make sure they are in the correct order

2. bucket sort

   • fast
   • sorts the data into groups
   • not as simple
   • after in groups orders them

3. serial search

   • basic
   • good for unsorted data
   • not very fast
   • looks at the data one by one

4. binary serach

   • good for sorted data
   • quick
   • halves the list until it finds the data
   • not as easy
