Child Development
The definition of child development involves the period of growth from birth to adulthood. Each child grows at a different rate meaning every child is unique and will learn at their own pace. They will all follow the same general sequence as every child will learn to crawl before they walk. Milestones consist of different developmental aspects such as physical, cognitive, language, emotion and social developments. All these aspects interlink with one another (holistic) therefore is influenced by how well developed a certain area of development is. Each milestone is considered as a step progressing forwards that's why milestones are used to monitor progress.
