Big Idea 5: Formal Assessment's- Data that backs up the results that determine student's capabilities.

Big Idea 1: Standards- Standards help teachers plan lessons, activities for students, assessments and knowledge of what students will learn
1. Lesson plans should include general education standards and must also include WIDA standards. Standards are to help guide teachers what they will teach. It also helps teachers know what students will learn and should know.
Big Idea 2: Variety of opportunities- Allow students to have different choices to demonstrate capabilities and understanding
1. EXAMPLES: *role play *games *peer/group work *graphic organizer *anchor chart *hands-on activities *self-assessment
Big Idea 3:Rubric & Feedback- Rubric should be created to the level of the student's understanding level depending on grade level. Make sure to explain and review rubric with students for them to have a clear understanding of what is expected from them. Feedback is crucially important because it allows teachers to provide student with needed tips, guidance and expectation description
