History
- Paleo Indians
  - The first documented human presence in Sedona area dates to between 11,500 to 9000 B.C. They were called the Paleo Indians.
- Chapel of Holy Cross

- Anglo-American settlement
  - The first Anglo settler, John J. Thompson, moved to Oak Creek Canyon in 1876. By 1902, there was a recorded 55 residents in Sedona.  
- Brins Fire
  - In June of 2006, a wild fire, covered 4,317 acres on Brins Mesa, Wilson Mountain and in Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona. The fire lasted 10 days costing 6,400,000 in containment fees.
