Topic 1.1: Critical Reasoning
Critical reasoning is the study of how to think carefully about issues that matter to you.
Thinking carefully is the gateway to a formal study of logic, arguments, persuasion, and rhetoric, each of which is essential for communication in every profession.
Topic 2.2: Critical Reasoning: Thinking Carefully about the issues
The first step in reasoning critically about problems is to understand that reasoning critically often means reasoning carefully.
Careful reasoning means that we try to consider the problem from every reasonable angle while making sure that we weigh each consideration properly.
