- 2How many chromosomes does a gamete have and why?A Gamete has 23 chromosomes so that it can join with the other parent cell to have the right number of chromosomes for a normal body cell.
- 3How does sexual reproduction produce vatiation?By combining chromosomes from both parent cells so that the new cell has a mixture of features from both parents.
