Debate

1. A debate is to put forward two different opinions on a topic

   • What's the topic?
     • The topic is something to be discussed
       • They deal with issues usually
         • Traffic, Insecurity and Contamination
       • Keep in mind
         • It is important to select a topic that is appropriate to the age and education of the the interested debaters.
       • The idea of team line
         • Is each team present a short phase of
           • "why the topic is true" (for the affirmative)
           • "why the topic is false" (for the negative).
           • Teamwork in each of the speakers.
         • The refutation must be
           • Logic
             • the position taken in the debate must make sense of your arguments
           • Pick the important points
             • Try to rebut the most important points of the other side's case.
           • `Play the ball'
             • criticize what they say.
       • In debating
         • Each team will present points in favor of their case
           • In addition
             • They'll have some time to criticize the other team's position

2. Its aim is to

   • Know different positions and arguments on an issue, in order to reach a conclusion
