Connective Tissue

  1. Loose connective tissue, Dense connective tissue, Cartilage connective tissue, Bone, Blood, and Liquid connective tissue

    • loose connective tissue -
      • Aerolar, Adipose, Reticular
        • Areolar - it located between the organs It provides padding allows for a considerable amount of independent movement - widely distributed throughout the body.
      • Adipose - its located under the skin around the kidney's and eyes, it provides food fuel and supports and protects organs
      • Reticular- it's located in the spleen and bone marrow, the internal the skeleton that supports another cell types
    • Blood - It locates in the body and systems, also delivers oxygen and nutrients
    • Bone: Osseous tissue, supports, protects, and allows movement
      • Its a skeleton houses yellow bone marrow, which stores triglycerides
    • Dense connective tissue - Regular, Irregular, Elastic
      • Regular - it's located in the tendons, ligaments, and liver, it also provides firm attachment, conducts pull of muscles, reduces friction between muscles
      • Irregular- located in the scars and capsule of kidneys, it provides strength to resist forces applied from may directions
      • Elastic- located in the tendons attach to the skeletal bones, it allows the ligament to return to its original length after stretching
    • Cartilage - hyaline, Fibrocartilage, Elastic
      • Hyaline - located around the surface bones covering the articular, it provides stiff but somewhat flexible support
      • Fibrocartilage - found in the pads of the knee joint, between pubic bones of the pelvis, it prevents bone to bone contact:limits relative movements
      • Elastic - this one is mostly found in the outer ea, it channels waves towards the inner ears
    • Liquid connective tissue - Blood- matrix is plasma, Lymph - matrix is lymph similar to plasma but with much less protein
