1. ROM

   • ROM stands for Read Only Memory
   • It's purpose is to store the instructions which are needed to ‘boot up’ the computer.
   • It's non-volatile so even if the power turns off the data will still reappear when you trun it back on

2. RAM

   • RAM stands for Random Access Memory
   • It's purpose is to store the instructions and data that are needed while programs are being used

3. Virtual memory

   • It's purpose to store and process instruction when RAM runs out of space to store instructions.
   • Virtual Memory is volatile
   • It is in secondary storage.
