1. when different atoms are held together it forms molecule compounds, like H2O

2. The atoms contains a nucleus, that has negative, and positive protons, and uncharged neutrons

3. Some atoms can be chemically unstable because their orbits are not full

   • this causes them to bond together

4. Ionic compound

   • it's when electrons transferred frome atom to another
   • this atoms are held together by the opposite charges but don't form molecules
   • even if the electron belongs in the different atom it spends more time in the other atom making it negative

5. Covalent compounds

   • it's when two atoms share the same electrons
   • this atoms that are held together tend to form molecules
   • the shared electrons spend the equal amount of time on the atoms
