Elizabeth

1. Darcy

   • They met at a Meryton ball. He is cold, very proud of himself and doesn't deal with emotions well. They have been back and forth about liking each other but finally recognized their feelings at Mr. Collins' house. They met through Mr. Bingley and Jane at a ball. 

2. Jane

   • Jane and Lizzy are very close in age and they are similar in the sense that they are the closest to getting married. They share everything and look out for one another. Jane is the oldest Bennet sister and she is the prettiest. She is the love interest of Mr. Bingley and is seen as not suitable by his circle of family and friends. 

3. Lydia

   • Lydia is the youngest Bennet sister and she loves soldiers. All she and Catherine talk about is soldiers and how they want to marry one. She is squelish and frivolous. She doesn't find it important to fall in love, she wants to get married for the money and the pretty dresses. 

4. Kitty

   • Catherine and Lizzy don't interact much. Catherine spends most of her time with Lydia chasing down officers to get engaged to. She is the fourth Bennet sister and she and Lydia resemble each other a lot. 

5. Mary Bennet

   • Mary is a total bookworm. She spends most of her time either reading or playing the piano. She doesn't find any interest in tracking down a man to get married to and she doesn't say much. She is the third Bennet sister.

6. Bingley

   • Mr. Bingley and Darcy are good friends. Mr. Bingley is the renter of Netherfield Park and the love interest of Jane. He is the outgoing, gentle and funny half of Darcy. He is often swayed by his snobbish sister but he always has other people's best interest at heart. 

7. Mr. Bennet

   • Mr. Bennet is the father of Lizzy and her four sisters. He is married to Mrs. Bennet and he is quiet. He is extremely sarcastic and he doesn't find any interest in marrying his daughters off for money. He encourages Lizzy and Jane to fall in love and marry someone for those reasons and not just for money and nice clothes.

8. Mrs. Bennet

   • Mrs. Bennet is the mother of all five Bennet girls and she is extremely caught up with trying to marry her girls off. She tries extremely hard to get her girls hooked up with a nice man that she often runs men off because of how crazy she is. 

9. Wickham

   • Mr. Wickham is in the military and he is involved with Elizabeth Bennett. He plays himself off as an innocent victim and in reality he tried to marry Georgiana Darcy and steal her fortune. He is extremely attractive and he catches the eye of Lizzy.  

10. Mr. Collins

    • Mr. Collins is the clergyman for Lady Catherine de Bourgh's parish. He is a squirly man who first pursues Jane and then goes after Elizabeth who rejects him. He marries Charlotte Lucas and he tries to tell himself he is over Lizzy but he isn't really. He sucks up to Lady Catherine a lot and wishes to collect the fortune of the Bennett estate. 

11. Miss Bingley

    • Miss Bingley is the sister of Mr. Bingley. She loves Mr. Darcy and wishes that he would love her back. She tries to run both Elizabeth and Jane off because she finds them to be repulsive and not fit for the lifestyle that Darcy and Bingley offer a woman. She is very snobbish and extremely jealous of both girls.

12. Lady Catherine de Bourgh

    • Lady Catherine de Bourgh is the aunt of Mr. Darcy and patroness of Mr. Collins. She doesn't see that Lizzy or Jane could fit into the high society lifestyle both men have and she tries to squish the confidence of both girls by making snide remarks on their upbringing. She is extremely wealthy and holds her money over peoples heads and believes it's her way or the highway!

13. Mr. and Mrs. Gardiner

    • Mr. and Mrs. Gardiner are the Bennett sisters' aunt and uncle. They spend a good amount of time with both Jane and Lizzy and they try to give the girls advice that their parents can't. Mrs. Gardiner is completely opposite of Mrs. Bennett and doesn't grovel for money. Mr. Gardiner and Mr. Bennett are both relatively quiet characters and they add a lot of good wisdom to Lizzy's life.

14. Georgiana Darcy

    • This is Darcy's sister. She is he only character who can really get Darcy to open up. She is a gentle and sweet girl who loves Elizabeth. She is really the only person in Darcy's friend group who accepts Elizabeth for who she is. 

15. Colenel Forster

    • This is the Colonel of Wickham's regiment who takes Kitty with him when he and his family leave for the summer. 

16. Mrs. Phillips

    • The girls often go to Meryton and socialize with soldiers. She is the sister of Mrs. Bennet. 

17. Mrs. Reynolds

    • She is Darcy's housekeeper who greets the Gardiner's and Elizabeth when they come to Pemberly. She raves about Darcy being a kind and gentle human being and this encourages a new thought train to take off in Elizabeth's mind about Darcy.
