Inheritance

  1. (Parent, Super) Class

    • Abstract
      • An Abstract Class is a class that cannot be instantiated as an object. This type of class does not require an abstract method; however, if an abstract method is located within a class, the class must be abstract.
    • Private
      • A private method is where the class cannot be instantiated as an object, and subclasses can not be established from this class.
    • Public
      • A public method is where the class can be instantiated as an object and all the methods within the class are inherited.
    • Protected
      • A private method is where the class cannot be instantiated as an object; however, all public subclasses can be instantiated, and the subclasses still inherit the parent’s methods.
    • OverLoading
      • Method Overloading is when a method contains the same method name; however, the method header is different from the method in the class or parent class.
  2. (Child, Sub) Class
