Intelligences - Kindra

1. Triarchic

   • Analytical
     • Analytical intelligence has to do with being good at things such as problem solving and puzzles. Analytical intelligence can also be measured by standardized tests (Grison and Gazzinga, 2019, pg. 315).
   • Creative
     • Creative intelligence is the ability to look and think about something in a novelty way and from a new different way (Grison and Gazzinga, 2019, pg. 315). I am very very low in creative ingtelligence.
   • Practical
     • Practical intelligence is the ability to successfully perform tasks and being good at tasks that are done have to use in everyday life such as parking a car (Grison and Gazzinga, 2019, pg. 315).

2. Emotional

   • Emotional intelligence is the ability to understand one's own emotions and the emotions of others and being able to feel empathy and use this to effectively interact and communicate with others. Emotional intelligence also aids in developing relationships (Harvard Medical School, 2022, para.6). Sometimes I feel like I have good emotional intelligence because I'm good at reading other people's emotions and feelings but I find myself not being able understand my own emotions.

3. General

   • General intelligence is the factor that leads to things such as high IQ results and high results on intelligence tests or any performance involving intelligence (Grison and Gazzinga, 2019, pg. 313). Sometimes I feel that general intelligence is not a effient and fair way to evaluate someone's intelligence because I consider myself a relatively smart and inteligent person but my IQ score is not very high.

4. Fluid

   • Fluid intelligence is the ability for a person to adapt to unexpected situations and work through and figure out situations and problems that are complex (Chen, Hsu, and Tseng, 2020, para. 1). Part of general intelligence.

5. Crystallized

   • Crystalized intelligence is a part of general intelligence that deals with one's ability to use previous experience and the knowledge gained from that experience to solve problems (Grison and Gazzinga, 2019, pg. 315). This intelligence is very interesting to me because my friends and I sometimes are very different in what we are good at because of previous experiences that we have had that have given us knowledge.

6. Multiple

   • Multiple intelligence consists of 8 different intelligences that are mostly not able to be measured by IQ tests. These intelligences consist of naturalistic, spatial, intrapersonal, interpersonal, musical, mathematical/logical, bodily-kinesthetic, and linguistic (Grison and Gazzinga, 2019, pg. 315). The multiple intelligences are very interesting to me because I think it is very fascinating how someone's intelligences in the different areas effects how someone learns best. For example, I'm pretty high in bodily-kinesthetic so I learn the best by actually doing.
