Clive Wearing
Map content
Clive Wearing
Clive Wearing has both types of amnesia (Retrograde and Anterograde)
He has impaired STM - can only recall things that happened in the past 7 seconds before he forgets
Clive can't rehearse any new information, meaning that it has no chance of being stored in the LTM
He CAN remember procedural memories, such as who his wife is and how to play the piano
The study of Clive supports the theory that there are multiple stores and that they are independent of each other
