Stage 1 (0-2 years)
- Babies explore using their senses
- They're egocentric- they only see things from their point of view
- At about 8 months they realise that objects they can't see still exist (object premanence)
Stage 2 (2-7 year)
- still egocentric but know more about concepts like numbers and shape
- they think that non living things have thoughts and feelings like us e.g there teddy is happy (animism)
