A electronic vacuum tube called a "Magnetron". Magnetron produces short radio waves called microwaves.

The Water Molecules

In the Convention Oven

Wave Guide:: it travels through the wave guide,, it's a rectangular metal tube..

The Wave Guide, it stirs a fan light device that scatters the waves around the metal interior of the oven.

The waves bounced from wall to wall until they enter the food.

Most food that we eat are dipolar. .

They have a positive charge,a and a negative charge at the ends of the molecules.

These dipolar molecules, they act as tiny magnets.

When the food is in the microwave, the molecules are pulled one way, first, then the other way.

When the molecules are pulled back and forth, they start to create friction between the water molecules which produces heat.

In a Convention Oven, there are heating elements that are on the top and bottom of the oven chamber.
