The GRE (Graduate Record Exam) measures a student’s overall academic ability. The test is conducted in both computer based and paper based format and is the standard exam for admission into graduate level education. The GRE Test asseses the areas of: Analytical Writing, Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning as highlighted in our Mind Map below however, students may also sit ‘subject tests’ in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology; Biology; Chemistry; Literature in English; Mathematics; Physics; and Psychology.
The GRE Test can be taken once per calendar month but before that you must register with your local test centre. The paper based version is only available four times per year in less frequent locations.
In order to succeed with your GRE test you need a combination of elements. You need to become familiar with the test process, the kind of questions that are going to be asked and time management.
